In 2008, I was living in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, trying to find myself. During that time, I became seriously ill, developing extremely high blood pressure and migraines, and gained 60 pounds. Financially, I was struggling, and life was incredibly challenging.

Today, I live in Atlanta and am undergoing treatment for various health issues. I take nine different prescription medications daily to prevent stroke, heart attack, and other conditions. Despite trying veganism for six months, my vitals remained unchanged.

Turning Point: Jameson

About two years ago, I got a Doberman Pinscher named Jameson. He serves as both emotional support and a source of physical activity. With Jameson’s help, I lost 45 pounds in one summer, going from a size 40 pants to a 36.

Current Focus: Heart Health

Now, my focus is on losing more weight and fat to ensure my heart is as healthy as possible. Today’s meal plan includes fish, broccoli, and brown rice, with a bit of hummus and avocado for extra flavor.

Daily Routine

I take regular walks with Jameson twice a day and run around the park with him. I haven’t started lifting weights yet—one step at a time. I’m gradually working up to that.

A Message of Hope

I’m not sure who reads this, but I want to encourage you. There is hope! The person you want to be is already there. You just need to find the path to them.
